This painting was inspired by my daily walks with my dog, Baxter, and the ever-changing light and color of the Southeast. In the late afternoon, the sun turns greens to gold and casts long, cool shadows across the landscape. Loose, expressive brushstrokes capture the warmth, movement, and rhythm of those moments—where ordinary scenes become alive with light and feeling.
